Meet The Faces Behind Big Foot Logistic Inc.

We are Thembi and Dan Danisa, the proud owners of Big Foot Logistic Inc. We look forward to sharing our story and hope you will enjoy getting to know us better.

Dan and I have been in the trucking and logistics industry for over two decades. I was a logistics manager for years, and Dan supervised a pool of drivers and a fleet of vehicles. While in South Africa, we also ran a brokering company offering trucking services, so it was natural that we would establish Big Foot Logistic Inc. upon moving to Alberta, Canada.

When we started out in 2018, Dan operated one of the trucks, and it was not until 2020, we finally scaled up the business. Initially, it was all about money at the end of the month. However, we have since gotten a clearer picture of the SWAT analysis, learned to take advantage of our strengths, and diligently address our weaknesses.

The part of working in logistics that we find most satisfying is seeing our solutions work and implementing them to the best of our ability. Our mission statement is to provide exceptional planning, management, and services.

As individuals, what sets us apart from others is our value for safety, our customers, and the fact that we strive to continually improve to better serve our clients.

We attribute our success to several factors, including years of hard work, determination, and commitment to integrity and best business practices. We have the right mix of confidence, humility, and know-how that has helped us stand out above the sea of suits.

Data shows that most businesses fail during the first two years of operation. We’re still here, which means we’re doing something right, and this has given us immense satisfaction.

When not at work, we enjoy spending time with family and friends and creating memories is our most valued hobby. We are also relatively new to Canada, so we are still in awe of the beauty and magnificence of nature and spend as much time as we can outdoors.

We also believe in giving back to society and, as part of that belief, support the Ronald McDonald House as this is a cause close to our hearts.

We have enjoyed sharing our story about the things that matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
